Edoardo Albisetti and Margherita Maiuri, Associate Professors at the Department of Physics, have been appointed Junior Fellows of the Italian Academy of Engineering and Technology (ITATEC), in recognition of their scientific profiles and research contributions in photonics, nanotechnology and applied sciences.
Established in 2022 with the support of the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei, ITATEC promotes dialogue between universities, research organisations and industry, providing independent scientific assessments and recommendations to policymakers, stakeholders and society on key technological innovation issues.
ITATEC also participates in the European Council of Applied Sciences, Technologies and Engineering (Euro-CASE), contributing to the European Commission’s scientific advisory mechanism on engineering and technology.
